It doesn't impress me like previous memory I have purchased. It also functions in its base form, as memory without any tweaking to it.Ĭons: Not good for over-clocking.

The part I've highlighted, it says if one of the aforementioned processors is used with iGPU the maximum memory speed is 1600+ MHz? By use of the plus sign they mean the minimum amount of memory speed is 1600?Pros: The memory was on the compatibility list of the motherboard I purchased.

***Refer to or this user manual for the Memory QVL(Qualified Vendors Lists). When using Intel Core i5/Core i3/ Pentium CPU with iGPU, the maximum memory speed supported is 1600+ MHz

** To reach DDR3 2200 MHz, you are required to use with Intel Core i7/Core i5 CPU without iGPU and install a discrete graphics card. Some hyper DIMMs only support one DIMM per channel. *Hyper DIMM support is subject to the physical characteristics of individual CPUs. Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) I'm going to build a system for someone and I've found the motherboard, which is an ASUS P7H55-M.Ĥ x DIMM, Max. Yes I've already found a 12GB RAM 1600MHz set which is cheaper than the 1333MHz equivalent!Ī question for a different motherboard. On the Intel site for the Core i7 950, it says Memory Types - DDR3-800/1066 yet on the Corsair site it shows the following:

Although I don't understand why they're not on there? I've had a look on the Corsair website for compatible memory modules for the P6T and my Corsair ones aren't on there. As you can see:Īs the P6T isn't on there, are they likely to work with it? Can I mix the 2GB and 1GB modules together? I ask since the RAM modules are DDR3 and they're PC3-10600 which I would've thought would work fine with the my chosen motherboard.

I looked at the Corsair compatibility list for both sets of RAM modules and it doesn't show my chosen ASUS P6T board. I have four spare RAM modules, which are: I'm considering upgrading to a Core i7 platform by christmas and I've already found the CPU and Motherboard combination I'd like.
